Nothing quite rivals our obsession with a great shot of espresso, so when longtime coffee pro, Chris Owens, came to us for branding help with his newest coffee roasting venture it definitely perked our ears. Once he mentioned the new brand would empower women coffee producers and small businesses in Guatemala, Mexico, and Colombia, our answer was an immediate yes.

With a charming southern-inspired name, Right Quick Roasters needed to feel unique, comfortable, and warm. We also wanted to visually communicate the community behind every cup – from the farm to the coffee shop.

Our brand discovery led us to a playful artistic aesthetic with warm friendly colors and hand-drawn elements. And after several logo iterations, we landed on a monogram logo. Combining the R and Q in the brand name, with the foot of the R stepping forward, aligning with the ‘do better’ mission behind the brand.

We went on to create a logo emblem with two inner circles, a creative nod to the rim of a mug, and an outer circle to resemble a compass and the expansive community that comes together to produce each drop of espresso.

We rounded out the branding project with simple coffee packaging and a Squarespace site with product details, online ordering, and eCommerce.

“I have always found solace in coffee shops. There is something about a friendly barista, low volume music, and delicious coffee that makes the world seems like a better place.

I've always had a passion for how coffee brings people together, and how when you ask someone to coffee, you’re really asking them to connect.
